The qualifying round concludes. The acts have one chance to showcase their artistry, precision and athleticism and new this season now must score an average of 85 in order to move forward in the competition and ultimately win a grand prize of $1 million.

Dance acts of all ages and genres face off in the final round of the qualifiers, showcasing their artistry and athleticism for three iconic dance superstar judges, in hopes of scoring an 85 or higher to move forward to the duels.

On the first night of the duels, top acts from the upper division face off against a rival in an elimination duel; with the new twist of redemption, the two highest-scoring eliminated acts will have the chance to compete for a spot in the next round.

The Duels” round continues with the new twist of Redemption. In this round, the top qualifying acts from each division will choose a rival and face off in a head to head elimination duel. The judges will score each act based on their artistry, precision and athleticism, and the top scoring act from each duel will move forward in the competition. In Redemption, the two highest-scoring eliminated acts have one final chance to compete for the last spot in the next round of the competition.

On the third night of the duels, top acts from the junior division face off against a rival in an elimination duel; with the new twist of redemption, the two highest-scoring eliminated acts will have a chance to compete for a spot in the next round.

"The Duels" round concludes with a new twist of Redemption! In this round, the top qualifying acts from each division will choose a rival and face off in a head-to-head elimination duel.

Derek Hough mentors the top six acts from the Upper division and Jenna Dewan mentors the Junior Team division as they face the deepest cut of the season; only the three highest-scoring acts from each division will move on to the Divisional Final.

Jennifer Lopez mentors the top six acts from the junior division and NE-YO mentors the upper team division as they face the most intense cut of the season; only the three highest-scoring acts from each division will move on to the divisional final.

The top three acts from each division vie for a spot in the world final; hip-hop dancer and entertainer tWitch is a guest mentor for the upper team acts; Jennifer mentors the junior team division; Derek mentors the juniors; NE-YO mentors the uppers.

12World Final

May 5, 2019

On the season finale, the top act from each division and a wild card compete for the title of Best in the World and the $1 million grand prize; Derek and NE-YO perform with special guests; The Lab performs a very special tribute to Jennifer Lopez.
