You Asked For It
An episode of an eclectic U.S. television show. Segments include fire eater Navarre, a tour of Hollywood attractions, Mr. World shows off his body, Aunt Nellie (of Knott's Berry Farm) playing the hammer dulcimer, trick horse shoe throwing, and Buddy and Vilma Ebsen dancing together. Also featured are the original commercials for Skippy peanut butter. The date is per a search of vintage Los Angeles newspapers, with the episode airing via kinescope at later dates elsewhere. For example, in Washington DC it aired on 11 May 1951 on WTTG. This was among the few DuMont shows to be produced in Los Angeles, with the show moving to ABC in late 1951. A re-upload with hopefully improved picture and sound quality. I've been going through my old DVD collection, and came across the disc. I hope people don't make fun of me for trying to upload improved copies of old uploads.
