An episode of an eclectic U.S. TV series. Segments in this episode include an octopus, a demonstration of an unusual musical instrument called the theremin, how movie special effects are done, and a recreation of a 1920s vaudeville routine by El Brendel and Flo Bert. Also included are the original commercials for Skippy peanut butter. This particular episode aired on DuMont, with the show moving to ABC later in 1951. Re-upload with hopefully improved picture and sound quality. I've been going through my old DVD collection and came across the disc. The date is per a search of vintage Los Angeles newspapers. This episode aired live in that city, but aired as a kinescope at later dates throughout the country.
