You Asked For It
An episode of an eclectic U.S. television show. Segments include: Gorgeous Joe the wrestling chimp (really a comedy act), rhythm-and-blues pianist Ivory Joe Hunter, the secrets of card sharks, shooting an arrow off a man's head, and a blackface performance by Harry Jolson. Also featured are the original commercials for Skippy Peanut Butter. This particular episode aired on DuMont, with the show moving to ABC later in 1951. Re-upload with hopefully improved picture and sound quality, I've been going through my old DVD collection and came across the disc. The date is per a search of vintage Los Angeles newspapers, I hope it is correct. This episode aired live in Los Angeles but aired as a kinescope at later dates throughout the country.
