Tomorrow with Tom Snyder (NBC-TV. Aug. 24, 1980) Guest: Roy Orbison Tom interviews the rock legend in this 1980 episode of Tomorrow, just as Roy was starting to make the early steps towards his 1980s revival. Popular covers of his songs Blue Bayou (Linda Ronstadt) and Crying (Don McLean) had sparked a renewal of interest in his work. Roy talks about not only his career but talks about his twin tragedies of losing his first wife in a motorcycle accident, followed by the deaths of two children in a house fire. Roy performs two songs during the interview, Only The Lonely and his Grammy-winning hit That Lovin' You Feeling Again (minus his duet partner on the song, Emmylou Harris.)
