The 1973 musical film "Tom Sawyer" follows the adventures of Tom Sawyer and his friend Huckleberry Finn as they navigate childhood mischief in their small Mississippi town. The story includes their attempts to resurrect a dead cat, witness a murder, and ultimately, Tom's courageous testimony to save an innocent man, all while dealing with the complexities of young love and friendship.The film was produced by Reader's Digest in collaboration with Arthur P. Jacobs, and its screenplay and songs were written by the Sherman Brothers, Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman.
