The sun is made in SCULPTRIS a free program you can download from here: http://www.pixologic.com/sculptris/features/ You can export an .obj-file of a sun from SCULPTRIS to import it into Blender to vertex paint it. To be able to render the vertex painted sun you have to make a new material for the sun. The buildings WTC 1, WTC 2 and WTC 7 are from a Sketchup file. Also the texts are made in Sketchup.
