Written by Bruce Stewart. The time portal has deposited Simon and Liz in the future, at the South Polar Base known as the Ice Box. Amid the frozen Antarctic wastes, the research into the freezing of humans for the longevity project is proceeding, but is it a success? Apparantly due to the stress, the project's director is now showing signs of insanity. Meanwhile Liz is trying to come to terms with meeting her future self. Originally aired in 1970.
