The Unholy Night is a 1929 American pre-Code mystery film directed by Lionel Barrymore. It features a blend of mystery and horror elements, making it one of the early sound films in the horror genre. The story revolves around Lord Montague, who survives an assassination attempt in London. He discovers that members of his old army regiment are being murdered. To protect the remaining members, a Scotland Yard inspector gathers them at Montague's estate, leading to a series of mysterious events and deaths.
