The Raven
A brilliant but deranged neurosurgeon becomes obsessively fixated on a judge's daughter. With the help of an escaped criminal whose face he has surgically deformed, the mad man lures her, her father, and her fiancé to his isolated, castle-like home.

The Raven is a 1935 American horror film directed by Louis Friedlander and starring Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. It follows Dr. Richard Vollin, a neurosurgeon obsessed with Edgar Allan Poe, who becomes infatuated with a young dancer named Jean Thatcher after he saves her life following a car accident. As his obsession grows, he uses a fugitive criminal, Edmond Bateman, to carry out his twisted plans involving torture and revenge against those who stand in the way of his desires.
