The Hideous Sun Demon is a 1958 American science fiction horror film. It was produced, directed, and co-written by Robert Clarke, who also stars in the lead role. The story follows Dr. Gilbert "Gil" McKenna, a research scientist who, after being exposed to a radioactive isotope, transforms into a lizard-like creature whenever he is exposed to sunlight. This transformation leads to horrifying consequences, including violent behavior. The film explores themes of isolation and the struggle with one's darker nature.
