The Unquiet Library
From its origins in the crypt in the Capitol to becoming the largest public library in the world, The Unquiet Library focuses on its musical manuscript collections, including a technician cleaning off cellophane tape from the original copy of George Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue. Also featured are Christopher Kendall conducting Appalachian Spring, Goodnight Irene as performed by Leadbelly, a wax cylinder being played by an early record player, and Julliard Quartet cellist Joel Krosnick speaking about his encounter with the Stradivari cello in the collection.
