The Tingler is a 1959 American horror film produced and directed by William Castle. It is the third of five collaborations between Castle and writer Robb White, and starring Vincent Price. It follows a pathologist, Dr. Warren Chapin, who discovers a parasitic creature called the "tingler" that grows stronger when its host experiences fear. The plot unfolds as he investigates the death of a mute woman who cannot scream, leading to a series of terrifying events involving the creature that ultimately escapes into a movie theater, where chaos ensues as the audience must scream to survive.
