The Pacemakers
A surprising story of a group of men, all over the age of 90, as they pursue their dream of becoming world-class athletes. This is a highly competitive group of sportsmen, all hell-bent on being champions. Despite battling major obstacles these old men are determined to fulfill their ambitions.
From the archive
A series produced in Britain for international distribution. This episode features an interview with architect Sir Basil Spence. I'm not sure when this was produced, as different sources give conflicting dates. I do know that it appears in a Canadian television schedule from 1970. I suspect using this in projects or putting it on YouTube would result in a copyright strike by the BFI.
Why this is free to watch
The Pacemakers (1965) is hosted by the Internet Archive as a public-domain or openly licensed work, which means its copyright has expired, lapsed, or was released by the rights holder. No signup, no payment and no advertising interrupts playback. Nitrate streams the file directly from the Archive and hosts no video itself.
