The Bat
Mystery writer Cornelia Van Gorder has rented a country house called "The Oaks", which not long ago was the scene of some murders committed by a strange and violent criminal known as "The Bat". Meanwhile, the house's owner, bank president John Fleming, has recently embezzled one million dollars in securities and has hidden the proceeds in the house, but is killed before he can retrieve it.

The Bat is a 1959 American crime-mystery thriller starring Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead. In the film, mystery author Cornelia Van Gorder rents a mansion where a faceless killer known as "the Bat" is on the loose, murdering women with steel claws. As bodies pile up, Van Gorder teams up with a local doctor and a police detective to uncover the truth behind the murders and a missing fortune hidden in the house.
