The Telephone Auction Shopping Program
Before there were 24-hour channels dedicated to shopping, the Telephone Auction Shopping Program was one of the first successful television shopping outlets. For five years new episodes were broadcast each week on more than 200 TV stations throughout the United States, taped on location at what was well-known as “The World’s Largest Flea Market” in San Jose, California.
