In the l960s and early to mid 1970s, a defining feature of Hollywood era featured a rise in black-oriented films, known as "Blaxploitation" films directed towards black audiences as well as crossover films featuring African-American leading roles, of which Gene Siskel and Robert Ebert discuss the reasons for its decline in relevancy to the point that Black Hollywood's roles have been reduced to bit parts in this special edition of the weekly PBS movie review program.
