Summer of 1963. Carson is getting married to her boyfriend so her friends Melaina, Pudge and Luanne take her to Myrtle Beach for one last irresponsible weekend.

Popularized in the southeastern US, here is a classic documentary on this dance craze that was seen as a more laid back version of the jitterbug and boogie woogie, and later providing a subgenre of early rock and roll, while having its origins from a dance in South Carolina called The Big Apple. Features a clip of Arthur Murray.
