Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie
In the not-too-distant future, the evil Dr. Forrester forces a temp named Mike into a series of experiments, where he's forced to watch cheesy movies so the mad scientist can monitor his mind. However, as Mike can't control where the movies begin or end, he'll try to keep his sanity with the help of his robot friends.
From the archive
For the seventh episode of the first season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1989-1999), the show featured and riffed a B-movie classic: Robot Monster (1953). The film had achieved a legendary status as "one of the worst films ever made", with many citing that it had an enjoyable, so bad it's good quality to it, especially with aspects such as the title monster's design and the special effects, most of which are stock footage taken from other films and newsreel footage. Aside from the main attraction, the episode also featured Radar Men From the Moon (1952), a science fiction serial which had its first nine installments featured on MST3K's first season. In this episode, chapters 4 and 5 were featured (named "Flight of Destruction" and "Murder Car", respectively). The episode has been released onto DVD by Shout Factory, and is also digitally available through Shout Factory's website.
