Molly Picon, The Celebrated Character Comedienne
Vitaphone #919. Molly is seen in two short sketches; in the first she's a glamorous star being interviewed in her dressing room, telling the audience the story of how she shot her husband (a popular subject of gags in the late 1920s). The second shows her in her well known persona of the plucky "working girl", speaking in Yiddish accent, relating to her Irish neighbor how her good for nothing husband mistreats her yet she can't stop loving him.
