Magic Grandad
British educational series which aired as part of the BBC Two Schools strand Watch. It follows the Magic Grandad, who teaches his grandchildren about history by taking them back in time to see it with their own eyes and meet famous historical figures. The first two series star Geoffrey Bayldon as the Magic Grandad, with Kirsty Bruce and James Moreno as his grandchildren Kimberley and Gary. The third series stars Trevor Peacock as the Magic Grandad, with Georgina Hagen and Nicholas Hoult as his grandchildren Nikki and Tom, and Miriam Margolyes as Grandmama, and so is objectively the best series despite my nostalgia for the second (90s kids represent!) The fourth series stars Tim Healy as the Magic Grandad, with Scarlett Gee and Sam Friend as his grandchildren Maddy and Harry. This is missing the fifth and sixth series (2003, 2009).
