Land and Sea January 6 Any Mummers Allowed In
It's been a classic for nearly four decades - where the "Land and Sea" crew spent some time in Fortune Bay to document the lives of those living there, including musicians Bud Davidge and Sim Savory, the two members of Simani, and a special treat in the final part - the Mummers stopping by to have a good time. Five of Simani's songs are heard: Saltwater Cowboys, Outport People, The Loss of the Marion (or is it Marian?), Any Mummers Allowed In?, and as the credits roll, Christmas Fancy. Commercials are included. Those are for Purity Factories, Matchless Paints, Ski-Doo Snowmobiles, and Ultramar Home Heating. There is a bonus at the beginning before going into the actual episode: a Mummer is interviewed by Anne Budgell on Here and Now. He even sings part of the Simani "Mummers" song you'll hear later on in the episode.
