Ivanhoe: The King's Knight is a 1997 animated adaptation by CINAR and France Animation. It is a loose adaptation of the Ivanhoe novel by Walter Scott, much like the 1958 television series starring Roger Moore. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Synopsys: As the embodiment of the medieval code of chivalry, Ivanhoe always wages fair and often one-to-one combat. He will have to battle oppression and injustice to ease the lot of the people before King Richard can return! Ivanhoe the King’s Knight familiarizes us with the Middle Ages of Europe, their knights in armour, caparisoned horses and dazzling tournaments. We also discover this part of history through the extravagant jesters, the joyous brigands and the richly-costumed ladies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contains full series (1-52 episodes).
