High Voltage
A busload of passengers gets stranded in a snowstorm and take refuge in an abandoned church, where they run into a mysterious man who may be on the run from the law.
From the archive
I've been researching newly public domain films from 1929 and earlier, so I'm uploading the best possible copies that I can find. This early survival adventure film was Carole Lombard's first talkie film. It was also released with a silent version, although the sound version was preferred by critics at the time. Modern audiences have no reason to remember the film other than Ms. Lombard's role and a look at an early picture in the survival genre.
Why this is free to watch
High Voltage (1929) is hosted by the Internet Archive as a public-domain or openly licensed work, which means its copyright has expired, lapsed, or was released by the rights holder. The uploader declared an explicit licence, linked in the source panel. Nitrate streams the file directly from the Internet Archive and hosts no video itself.
