This version of Alex Raymond's comic strip hero moves Flash to the year 3061, where he battles criminals and evil aliens for the Galaxy Bureau of Investigation. Starring Steve Holland as Flash Gordon, Irene Champlin as Dale Arden, Joseph Nash as Dr. Alexis Zarkov. In this episode, to investigate the source of a series of unexplained earthquakes, Flash and his companions use an atomic boring machine to burrow deep into the Earth, where they find a subterranean race intent on conquering the surface.
