Children of the Corn is a supernatural slasher film released on March 9, 1984. Directed by Fritz Kiersch, it is based on Stephen King's 1977 short story of the same name. The film features a cast that includes Peter Horton, Linda Hamilton, and John Franklin.The story is set in the fictional town of Gatlin, Nebraska, where a cult of children, led by a young preacher named Isaac, believes they must sacrifice all adults to a malevolent entity known as "He Who Walks Behind the Rows." A couple, Burt and Vicky, traveling through the area, become trapped in this terrifying situation after encountering a murdered boy.
