NBC Friday Night Videos Special, Michael Jackson: Around the World
This 53-minute television special follows Michael Jackson on the Bad Tour (1987–1988) across Europe, Asia (Japan, Hong Kong, China), Australia, and the United States. Mixing concert highlights, backstage footage, and interview clips, it offers an unfiltered look at the scale and atmosphere of Jackson’s first solo world tour. Originally aired on MTV in a straightforward cut, the NBC broadcast as part of Friday Night Videos included additional hosts and commentary.

This is my first upload to the Internet Archive, I'm glad to be able to contribute some of these old recordings of mine. These first few recordings are from the 1980s and were taped largely by my family. The first of these tapes is a partial recording of NBC's Friday Night Videos show from around April 1984. There is no date on the tape so I had to do some digging into when some of these videos were released to get some idea of when these aired. If you have a specific date for this, please let me know. Enjoy! EDIT: A big thanks to Mervius for informing me of these partial recordings and their airdates! I would reply manually to your review but I'm not sure how to do that or if there is even a way to do that on this site. Unfortunately, while I do have more of these that I will definitely be posting in the near future, I don't believe I have any Flock of Seagulls videos. But I do have what I think are some pretty rare recordings from FNV that I'm excited to upload very soon!
