You Asked For It
This is a rare episode of "You Asked For It", a program that originated in 1950 on the Du Mont Network, moved to the ABC network in the mid 50s, where it was cancelled in 1959, only to be revived three times in subsequent decades. The premise of the show was that viewers would choose the entertainment by writing in and requesting a program about a certain subject or featuring a certain personality, character or act. Many people cite this as the first example of reality TV because it often looked a human interest stories as well as featuring traditional forms of entertainment. This fragmented episode features Bela Lugosi performing a magic trick.
