Transatlantic Teleview
The surviving footage from an otherwise lost 1956 episode of "Transatlantic Teleview", a television series produced by Britain's Central Office of Information for American broadcast (it was never shown in the UK). The surviving footage features an interesting interview with two policemen in Soho. I love their helmets. Among the stations this series was shown on, were WGBH-TV in Boston, KULA-TV (now KITV) in Honolulu, KGO-TV in San Francisco, KSD-TV (now KSDK) in St. Louis, WQED in Pittsburgh, WMAR-TV in Baltimore, along with various others. As you can see it aired on both commercial and non-commercial stations. The series aired from 1954 to 1958. I hope this plays back OK. I had a lot of trouble encoding this file. Note: the title is "Transatlantic Teleview", but for some reason, it is almost always referred to as "Transatlantic Televiews" in TV schedules.
