Sensation Seekers
The prohibition is in full swing and Egypt Hagen, a new woman, is the constant subject of controversy in her religious small town. After a scandalous night of partying leaves her publicly shamed, she finds unlikely companionship in the town's new reverend. As their bond intensifies under the watchful eye of concerned townsfolk, her sullied reputation threatens his standing as a respected clergyman.
From the archive
A rarity. Surviving extant fragments of the 1926 production based on Ernest Pascal's story "Egypt". Roughly 1/3 of the film missing. Most of the beginning middle and end of the film are present. All of the material is pieced together in the correct chronological order it appeared in the film. This is the final feature directed by Lois Weber. This film stars the legendary silent screen siren Billie Dove.
