On a hot summer night, artist Anthony March sees a distraught woman in the apartment opposite gas herself after taking a distressing phone call -- but when he goes over to the room, nobody is there. However, when he sees the same woman some days later, this time with a witness, it transpires that what he saw was a vision of the future and tragedy is averted.
