''Roy Acuff's Open House''
An episode of this country music series, filmed in 1959 and broadcast in 1960. "What country is this from?", some might ask. Well, the cast is almost entirely American, but it was an Australian series, filmed in the studios of Sydney station TCN-9, though the series was owned by a U.S. company. That's why the production style is a bit rough...Australian television had only begun in late 1956, and the film industry in the country had been dead since the early 1940s (and didn't revive until the 1970s). "Local" (i.e. Australian) artists also appeared on the series. Rather confusingly, an earlier series titled "Open House" had aired in Melbourne a couple years earlier.
