Joséphine Baker
Plot TBA; follows the life of groundbreaking 1920s jazz-age dancer, singer, and Parisian entertainer Josephine Baker.
From the archive
. . Just a few seconds of the amazing Josephine Baker performing, sans top, wearing ostrich plumes (circa 1927). Looks like a variation on the Charleston. Incredibly rare clip, most likely a short-subject reel seen only in French theaters. This surfaced a few years ago as part of a rather snide British docu about fame and celebrities. That's all I know about it. Next, more super rare color film (possibly test shots) and tinted scenes of '20s sex siren Clara Bow. These scenes were recovered from some lost films of hers.
