In 1887, the Wilcoxes decided to purchase land on the outskirts of Los Angeles that they would name Hollywood. To honor this occassion, on May 18, 1987, ABC presented this special extravaganza from the Shrine Auditorium, featuring a compilation of the best of the silver screen, along with special speeches and memories of this magical place.
