''Four Star Playhouse''
An episode of the popular 1950s anthology series. David Niven plays a hack film writer who has a chance at greatness. Beverly Garland plays his girlfriend, and Berry Kroeger plays his agent. It was directed by Richard Kinon, who later directed a lot of other TV series. It was written by James Bloodworth, who had a great name. I mean, seriously, BLOODWORTH? Sounds like it should be a comic book character or a RPG character or something like that. Originally telecast 14 June 1956. This episode has been repeated under a number of different titles, including "Golden Playhouse" and "Star Performance" in the US, and "Thursday Matinee" in Sydney Australia. So essentially this episode has aired under at least four different series titles.
