After their airplane crashes behind enemy lines, four soldiers must survive and try to find a way back to their battalion. However, when they come across a local peasant girl the horrors of war quickly become apparent.

Stanley Kubrick's first feature directorial debut that's set in a ficticious war in an unidentified country. The 1953 American anti-war film was directed, produced and edited by Stanley Kubrick and was written by Howard Sackler. It had a production team of fifteen people.
