Dream Stuffing

24m360p

Complete series of the obscure working class sitcom that aired on Channel 4 from January 6th 1984 and was repeated again in the summer of 1985. The series was not well received at the time of airing and was criticised as "heroically bad" and an attempt at trying to be a "relevant and up-to-date sitcom".It has seen no official release on any home media. The series follows the mishaps of Jude and Mo, two working class flatmates who live in a London East End tower block with their three-legged cat, Tripod and live across the hall from closeted-gay neighbour Richard and his father Bill who run a high-rise scrapyard out of their flat. Both struggle throughout the series with unemployment as aspiring saxophone player Jude comes up with creative and humorous ways to appease the DHSS to keep her benefits while dodging getting an actual job and being a frequent cause of frustration to her employment review officer Mrs Trudge. Meanwhile, Mo deals with redundancy from her job at a glass eye factory after a very unsuccessful strike to save her position and tries to find a replacement job while also trying to fix a strained relationship with her hot-headed mother May who owns the local laundrette.
