Cooper's Half Hour
Tommy Cooper's final series for Thames Television, and his last regular television series as a whole. Cooper is much better here than in his 1978 series, however the writing was on the wall healthwise for the man in the fez. This series featured atypical sexually suggestive dance numbers for what is ostensibly a family program. Also featuring popular song covers by Eurovision contest winners and Irish folk singer Danny Doyle supplying a tune on each show. The one saving grace is the rare opportunity to see Cooper perform with his son Thomas Henty, in multiple sketches.
