Bomb: A Love Story
It’s 1988 and, at the height of the Iran-Iraq War, Tehran is bombed relentlessly. The days that pass are full of foreboding, and yet, love, affection, hope and life itself manage to sweep away the fear of death from those surrounded by it. Love may often be difficult to comprehend, but death is a horrible certitude. ‘Bomb, A Love Story’ shows how, even when faced with the darkness of death, love and hope will find a way.

Bomb, A Love Story Peyman Moadi about his film Bomb: A Love Story: The story of “Bomb: A Love Story” is set in Tehran during the 1980s when the city was under Iraqi missile attacks. “The story of the film is about love that is paling over and over,” Maadi said in a press conference on Saturday after a screening of his film at the 36th Fajr Film Festival. He said, “I didn’t intend to illustrate violence in my film otherwise I would make a film about modern violence, but at that time we witnessed a violent era, during which most of us were beaten at schools and love was only an insignificant issue in a harsh time.”
