International air travel 1930s style as seen through 24 hours at Sharjah Airport (RAF Sharjah), United Arab Emirates which operated until the late ‘70s when it was replaced by Sharjah International Airport. The aircraft is a Handley Page HP42 introduced for Imperial Airways in 1930. Only four were built but they all managed the stay in long-distance passenger and mail service until the outbreak of WW2 when they were taken over by the RAF. None of them survived the war. Directed by Ralph Keene & John Taylor. Released in 1937. Complete print, but its audio has some issues.
